My
First Mission to Southeast Asia
What
God spoke to me 14 years ago is coming to pass!
Have
you ever had a dream in your heart that you knew God placed there and
yet it seemed as if it would never come to pass? I did...until now.
Fourteen
years ago when I first came back to the Lord, He breathed one simple
word into my heart - Southeast Asia. Even with all the events that have
happened in my life, it has remained there ever since. I just knew that
God had a plan for me that involved Southeast Asia and it's precious
people. I had no idea how this dream would come to pass, but now through
the connections I have made in Colorado it is becoming a reality.
Since graduating from Charis
Bible College, I accepted the position of overseeing the Night School
for CBC. I continued to lead worship for my wonderful church, Charis
Christian Center, and overseeing an apartment complex. For three years
I was also blessed to travel with Andrew Wommack's conference team all
over the US. This past August I became the worship leader for the Bible
College as well. In the meantime, while I was serving in so many areas,
God worked miracles in healing both my heart and my body. So many wonderful
things have been happening in my life and at the school, so just when
I thought life could not get any better, I heard of another exciting
opportunity!
Andrew Wommack, the founder
and president of Charis Bible College and Andrew Wommack Ministries,
returned from a trip to Southeast Asia and began to share of the spiritual
needs of this culture. He met with a leader who is over 200,000 pastors.
These pastors are representative of the 10 million (Yes, 10 million!)
congregants under them. This man asked Andrew to send someone to disciple
and teach those 200,000 pastors. The moment I heard this I began to
weep at the goodness of our God and the revival of the dream that He
had breathed into me so long ago. I just know this is my chance to
reach Southeast Asia!
After speaking with Andrew
Wommack and his international school director, I believe that this is
part of God's plan for me to go to Southeast Asia and begin to plant
wonderful seeds of God's unconditional love and grace! I will be leaving
for a trip on March 17th for eight days to explore the possibilities
and the timing of opening a Charis Bible College in Hong Kong.
Roundtrip airfare to Hong
Kong costs $1400. It will also cost at least $1500 per month for living
expenses. I need to begin fundraising now in order to prepare to move
there. I would ask that you pray for me as I discover the greatness
of God's plan. I love an adventure with Jesus!
Your support, whether financial
or prayerful, means so much to me. I love you all and will write again
after my return!
